Loving Laos and LPB

Laos has a very large French influence and a lot of the food seemed very familiar, yet with an Asian twist. We gorged ourselves in Luang Prabang and must have gained a stone in weight. Along with our banana fritters at the waterfall, we had delicious bacon-chicken-avo baguettes, croissants and BBQ chicken skewers that were amazing! And with a continental style breakfast every morning and enough fruit milkshakes/smoothies to drown yourself in, we were very happy campers!

It wasn't just the food in LPB that was great, the night market was amazing. During the day it was a busy road but at night it transforms into a market catering for every tourists need and desire! From food to jewellery, and lamps to clothing and many more things. Just wandering around this bustling market had an amazing atmosphere!

On our last day in Luang Prabang, we went to a temple on the hill overlooking the city which was great. We got chatting to a few monks and other friendly locals and wandered around the sites.

We definitely loved Laos and wished we could have spent more time there but Hanoi was calling...
